Gary J. Jastrzab
Executive Director of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission
Gary J. Jastrzab is Executive Director of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC). He has over three decades of experience in a variety of planning, project management, and policy development initiatives. At the PCPC, he has served as a housing and community development planner, Director of the Strategic Planning and Policy Division, and Deputy Executive Director, before being named Planning Director for the City of Philadelphia. Mr. Jastrzab holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Design and Sociology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating cum laude and with special honors in Sociology, and a Master of City Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation Board of Directors, the American Planning Association, Urban Land Institute, and a number of other professional, civic, and charitable organizations.
