Marion Johnson
Legislative Aide to Councilwoman Marian Tasco
Marion Johnson has been Councilwoman Marian Tasco's representative at zoning hearings for almost twenty years. An active community leader and devoted Philadelphian her entire life, she has also worked for the School District of Philadelphia, the Hartranft Community Corporation and Model Cities Senior Wheels East. Presently, Ms. Johnson also is the 2nd Vice Chair of the 49th Ward Democratic Executive Committee, the President of Concerned Citizens of Olney/Logan, and is still the Block Leader for the 5000 block of North 8th Street, which she has done since 1975. In October 2001 Ms. Johnson received the "Excellence in Leadership Award" for twenty-five years of Exemplary Service to the City of Philadelphia and received a 'Citizen Townwatch Commendation' from the Philadelphia Police Department, also in 2001.
