Andrew Toy recently ran a strong, but unsuccessful, campaign for one of seven Council At-Large seats, and has since started working at the Enterprise Center, where he will be working to assist mainly minority-owned businesses to create a vibrant mix of these businesses in the City’s commercial corridors. Mr. Toy worked at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and previously served in the Philadelphia Department of Commerce for 15 years specializing in business real estate transactions ranging from Condemnations and Zoning issues to Sheriff Sales. Mr. Toy also built a highly successful Brownfields Program for the City of Philadelphia. He currently Chairs the Boards of the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation and the Free Schuylkill River Park organizations and also serves on the Boards of Woodrock (a multicultural youth development organization), the Community Design Collaborative (Advisory), the Pennsylvania Downtown Center and the Logan Square Neighbors Association.
